TONIGHT:
Pete Jackson returns for the first time since Busch for an interview and thoughts on his match with Shawn Michaels.
PWA Heavyweight Champion
Christian Cage is signed to face WWA World Heavyweight Champion Steve Elliott at
the Main Event of Summer Slam. Comments from both men later tonight.
“For Everybody” plays over the arena as Roddy Piper walks out on the set of “Pipers Pit”.
Piper is still
not in a good mood after his firing as GM of WCW. But he should be happy. He
begins to trash the WCW brand as no longer relevant. Piper says he is better
off hosting Pipers Pit in the PWA. He then begins promoting “The One”, the
future of wrestling…Drew McIntyre. “Broken Dreams” plays as the now former
North American champions walks out to the set. Piper says people like Matt
Hardy and Jeff Jarrett are jealous of Drew and the fact he is younger and better
than them. McIntyre says he vows to win his title back and accepts the Hardy’s
challenge at Summer Slam. Piper adds that it should be cage match as well and
that HE will find McIntyre a tag team partner too.
The Freebirds defeated The Eliminators and Kevin Northcutt in a Six man tag team match.
Terry Taylor is in the ring to address three issues. First up is Randy Orton. He says Orton has been very hard to deal within the Front Office and now admitted that he got counted out on purpose at Busch. Mr. Orton will be examined by the PWA medical staff this week to see if he is mental stable to wrestle again. (the fans begin to boo Taylor) Second are the two unknown masked men who attacked The Rockers last week. Still have no idea who they are, but PWA officials are on standby. Jannetty and Morrison are not injured but were taken off the show tonight. Last David Batista. The man does not have a contact to wrestle for the PWA, or WCW for that matter that he knows of. If WCW has taken it upon themselves to sign him behind his back, that is fine. Maybe Dibiase funded Batista’s contract, otherwise he did not know where they got the money. But he will NOT appear in a PWA ring. As a wrestler, tag team partner to Drew McIntyre or bodyguard to Steve Elliott either. That is final.
Drew McIntyre
defeated Michael Knox in 5:15
"Marine March" plays as Capt. Combat Matthew Cardona walks to the ring for an interview. The man formally known as Zack Rider is wearing his combat boots and camouflage gear. Stacy Keibler smiles and calls him ‘cute’ as the interview begins. Cardona says he looks forward to his match with Joe Henning, in his PWA debut tonight. He vows to teach the ‘kid’ a good lesson in what the PWA is all about. He also says he wants to lend a hand to John Cena, after Sheamus hired Jesse Evans and then interfered in Cena’s match with Evans last week.
Non Title Match
Jesse Evans/Sheamus
vs. The Snake Pit ended in a double count out. .
A promo on Joe Henning plays…telling his history as a third generation wrestling, the son of the late former AWA World Champion Curt Henning and grandson of former AWA World Tag Team Champion Larry Henning.
Nikki and Brie Bella are upset that World Champion Steve Elliott has 'forgot' them and now running around with Batista, and not them. Gorgeous Gino Giovanni, who debuted three weeks ago in the PWA, says the girls need a real man, and Italian man. They seem happy and walk to the locker room with Gino.
“My Way by Kiss” plays as Pete Jackson heads to the ring. The fans go crazy. Jackson says he was very happy with his match with Shawn Michaels and was glad Shawn kept it a clean match with no interference from Nash. Stacy Keibler says that no one, not even Darren Michaels has heard from Shawn Michaels since Busch. Jackson says he is sure that HBK will be back soon. He talks about all the young talent in the PWA now, as favorite being Heath Slater and least favorite being David Otunga. He calls Otunga way to cocky and arrogant and wonders how someone as nice as Jennifer Hudson could deal with him. Jackson will be in the ring with Mr. Anderson... tonight.
As Jackson is leaving Otunga comes out and call Jackson a wash up and no longer “A list”. He says he could beat Pete Jackson anytime in the ring. Jackson tells him he will take that challenge and face him at Summer Slam and teach the young man what wrestling is all about.
Justin Gabriel and Elijah Burke defeated The Straight Edge
Society by DQ after CM Punk interfered in the match. CM Punk tried
to recruit Gabriel after the match. He refused to join.
“Live again” plays over the area as the WWA World Tag Team Champions The Snake Pit walk out to a good cheer from the crowd. Victor Blood says the Pit have officially ended the team of Rhodes and Dibiase and proved the Pit are the still…the stuff. (editor note: PG ratings: no longer “the pit is the s*it) Jeff Farmer takes the mic and starts to talk . . . when out from the crowd appear the same two men who attacked The Rockers last week wearing masks. The unknown masked men storm the ring and attack the champions with a steel pipe. Farmer is busted wide open and Blood is thrown over the ring barricade. PWA officials run to ringside, but the two men run into the crowd and leave the arena. First PWA Tag Team champions The Rockers are attacked…now the World Tag Team Champions The Snake Pit have been attacked. Who are these two?
Pete Jackson defeated Ken Anderson after the double chops.
After the match, David Otunga shows up and attacks Pete Jackson with Mr.
Anderson’s ring microphone. Jackson is cut open. Heath Slater comes to the
ring to help Jackson. Otunga and Anderson attack Slater and soon Anderson
attacks him with the ring microphone. They laugh at the mess they made and
leave the ring.
The Uso Brothers are interviewed.
They say they have the whole world wondering about them after leaving giving up
the Central States tag team titles to move up to the PWA. Who are they? Where do
they come from? Why did CSW falsely have them listed as being from Poland?
They explain they are Rikishi’s twin sons and Jimmy Snuka’s nephews. The
wrestling suits never gave the respect that the Uso’s family deserves, like say
the Harts or now Dibiases. They explain that there Uncle Jimmy Snuka was put in
the corner at the first Wrestlemania in the main event, because the suits felt
like he had nothing else to offer. They mention how it’s not right that the
entire Dibiase family is running around like players because of their daddy.
Their father Rikishi was never even a chance in his entire carrier. That’s not
going to happen no more. The Uso Brothers will make a name!
The Uso Brothers defeated The West Texas Outlaws.
“Just Close Your Eyes” plays over the arena as the PWA Heavyweight Champion Christian Cage comes to the ring. Cage tells the “peeps” he is going teach Elliott that he lives in the year 2010 now, not 1987. He calls Elliott a “washed up glam rocker posers” that is living in the past. He does complement him on “cutting his mullet off” finally. The fans cheer loud.
Matthew
Cardona defeated Joe Henning in 15:45 in a great match.
“Martyr No More” plays as the World Champion storms to the ring…He throws a tantrum and yells at Cage. Elliott then says he will not be at Summer Slam, due to a rock concert he already scheduled and tell Cage he is very sorry… the fans boo Elliott loud.
Terry Taylor comes to the ring and informs Elliott he WILL defend his title at Summer Slam…or the WWA Board will strip him of the title. Elliott throws another fit… Then Taylor informs Elliott he as a non-title match tonight… Elliott really throws a hissy. Taylor says that’s fine he will change the match…it’s now a Tag Team match…Kevin Nash is his partner. Elliott says fine, he will team with Nash…to take on: Robert Bayley AND Christian Cage. Elliott kicks and screams as he walks to the locker room.
Ted Dibiase Jr.
is the in locker room mad because it is too small. He tells Scott Hudson that
from this day forward he will be called Theodore Dibiase not “Ted Jr.”! He is
still demanding a larger locker room. He walks next door, the locker room of
American Champion Axel Hager. He demands Hager switch with him…Hager answers by
kicked him in the head! The Dibiase Brothers Mike and Brett attack Hager. The
Uso Bros comes to help out Hager. It’s a major brawl in the back.
Robert Bayley and Christian Cage defeated Steve Elliott and Kevin Nash when Bayley pinned Nash after a Blaze Bomb.
