The show begins with Piper’s Pit.   Roddy Piper interviews the Money in the Bank winner Shawn Michaels.   HBK says he always has a match with Pete Jackson signed up at All Star Spectacular and wants to really make it worth wild.  He is offering the put the Money in Bank contact up.  If Jackson wins, he gets the contact.  Piper calls Michaels an idiot for doing that and if he wants to give up his contact just hand it over to Drew McIntyre.  Michaels tells Piper that if “The One” thinks he can beat The Heartbreak Kid, to bring it on…TONIGHT. 

The World Champion Steve Elliott struts to the ring.  He looks happy.  Scott Hudson begins the interview by asking who he will face at All Star Spectacular since Shawn Michaels is not taking his match then.  Elliott says he will issue an open challenge to ANYONE. As Elliott brags as always about how great he is, CM Punk and the Straight Edge Society appear.  Punk says the time has come to upgrade to a “real” world title with no gimmicks.  He accepts the open challenge of Steve Elliott for All Star Spectacular.  He explains that Elliott is everything that Straight Edge stands against.  Elliott calls him a Charles Manson freak with a band of misfits that should be locked up in the mental house again.  The Straight Edge Society all jump in the ring.  Elliott tells Punk to pull back the misfits if wants a World Title match.   Punk backs them off and says he will face one on one with no SES at ringside at All Star Spectacular. Elliott tells him he has a match. 

“Blue Collar Man” plays as Axel Hager walks out to ring.   The American Champion is about to be interviewed when “I Came to Play” plays over the Arena.   The Miz walks out with a microphone and begins to berate Hager.  Hager in turns tells the Miz to come to the ring and face him man to man.  The Miz disappears to the locker room.   As the interview begins again, we see Shad Gaspard and Aaron Walker (former of the Brotherhood of Pain) enter the ring and attack Hager.   They beat the American Champion up as The Miz returns laughing.   He enters the ring and beats on Hager some more.  Miz throws Hager out of the ring and piledrives him threw a table.   Help soon arrives.   Miz pays money to Gaspard and Walker and thanks them for help.  Hager is taken out of the arena on a stretcher.  

Jack Swagger is interviewed.   He stays just because WCW is no more he is still after Matt Hardy and the North American title.  He has found an ally.  Edge appears and says he hates Jeff Hardy and will help by knocking him back out of wrestling and back to rehab. 

Bryan Danielson comes to ringside with the WWA Cruiserweight title belt.  He throws the belt in the middle of the ring and grabs a microphone. He says he heard the WWA is talking of merging some or all the light weight title together.   He says he has NO interest in all of it and officially vacates the Cruiserweight title and they can do whatever they want now.  Danielson says he is clearly the best wrestler not only in the PWA but the entire world but all the PWA champions are scared to face him.   He starts to trash most of the PWA roster, but mostly John Cena calling him a “Vince McMahan creation” who never earned anything in wrestling; it was all given to him.   John Cena comes to the ring.  Cena says he is sick of people like Danielson saying crap about him.  Cena says he is a former 2 time World Champion and defended the title in every WWA promotion.  He says he respects Danielson and the hard work in the indy feds, but that does not mean he is better than anyone else. Cena challenges Danielson to a match at All Star Spectacular.  He accepts and says he will finally show up the phony Vince McMahan creation what wrestling is all about.

Team 3D are interviewed.  They are still piss over the lose to The Snake Pit, but say they underestimated them but will have a rematch soon and it will be different next time.  The Snake Pit come out and say they done beat Team 3D in their very own type of match, a table match and the Dudley’s will NOT get another rematch.  Bubba Ray gets in Victor Blood’s face and soon slaps him. The brawl is on now.  Team 3D seem to get the best of the World Tag Team champions, until the fight is broke up.
