Norfolk, VA – The Scope Arena

Live on Fox

Broadcast Team

Play-by-play: Joe Tessitore

Color: Kai Hansen (joins the desk tonight)

Opening

Cold open: Short package of recent Women’s Title chaos and Cody Rhodes’ absence. Hard cut to the arena as the PWA on Fox theme hits. Camera finds the announce desk where Joe Tessitore and Kai Hansen are already seated.

Tessitore: “Welcome to Norfolk, Virginia, and The Scope Arena for another edition of PWA on Fox.”

Kai (dry): “Beautiful city. Shame the faces showed up.”

Segment 1 – Cody Rhodes Returns

In-ring promo

Cody Rhodes walks out to a massive reaction. No music theatrics, just the man. He stands in the center of the ring, mic in hand, and takes a long look around The Scope.

Cody delivers a big, emotional, forward-looking promo. He acknowledges the time away, the unfinished business, and makes it clear he is not here for a farewell tour. He talks about the state of the PWA World Title picture, the chaos at the top, and states that “what’s next” is him inserting himself right back into the main-event conversation. He leaves the specific challenge open-ended but pointed — the kind of promo that makes the entire roster look over their shoulders.

Tessitore: “What a moment for Cody Rhodes and for this crowd. You can feel the electricity in The Scope right now.”

Kai (after Cody leaves): “Look at that. The American Nightmare comes back and suddenly every midcarder starts updating their LinkedIn. Touching.”

Segment 2 – Los Forajidos vs. The Street Profits

Tag Team Match

Fast, physical, crowd-pleasing opener. Street Profits bring the athleticism and energy; Los Forajidos bring the grit and dirty tactics. Near-falls, outside brawling, and a strong finish that keeps both teams looking strong.

Finish: Street Profits hit a combination (Frog Splash / Blockbuster style) for the pinfall victory.

Tessitore: “What a sequence! Street Profits pick up a hard-fought win here in Norfolk.”

Kai: “Montez and Angelo actually looked competent for once. Don’t get used to it. And Los Forajidos… congratulations on being the second-best team in a two-team match.”

Segment 3 – Scorpio Ayla (with Mark Henry) vs. Baron Corbin (with Donovan Dijak & Maxine Dupri)

Singles Match

Corbin plays the power bully with Dijak looming and Maxine on the apron. Mark Henry stays tight at ringside for Ayla, cutting off interference when he can. Match is physical and mean — Corbin targets the leg and tries to grind her down. Ayla stays resilient, uses speed and strikes, and gets the crowd behind her.

Finish: Ayla hits her finisher after Henry blocks a Dijak distraction, scoring the pinfall.

Post-match: Corbin and Dijak jump Ayla. Henry clears the ring with authority. Maxine gets her mic moment screaming at the ref while the heels retreat.

Tessitore: “Scorpio Ayla with a big win, and Mark Henry making sure the numbers game doesn’t get out of hand.”

Kai: “Ayla wins and somehow Mark Henry still looks more dangerous than both of those clowns combined. Corbin, next time bring a better plan than ‘be tall and angry.’”

Segment 4 – PWA Women’s Championship

Liv Morgan (c) vs. Asuka

Title Match

Competitive, hard-hitting match. Asuka works methodically and targets Liv’s neck/back. Liv fires up with her usual fight-from-underneath style. Near-falls both ways. The crowd is into every near-fall.

Finish: Asuka has Liv locked in a submission. Rhea Ripley suddenly appears, slides in, and brutalizes Liv with a series of strikes and a big boot, forcing the referee to call for the bell.

Result: Liv Morgan retains via disqualification.

Immediate chaos: Rhea continues the assault. Liv fights back as best she can. Asuka is left standing in the ring looking disgusted at the interference. Officials and security eventually separate them as Rhea and Liv brawl up the ramp.

Tessitore: “Disqualification! Rhea Ripley has cost Asuka this title opportunity and the beating continues!”

Kai (over the chaos): “And there it is. Rhea Ripley, the human equivalent of a bar fight that never ends. Liv keeps the title the hard way, Asuka gets robbed, and the only person smiling is the one who just made sure nobody looks good. Classic.”

Closing

Final shot of Liv being helped to the back while Rhea is still shouting from the stage. Cody’s promo package replays briefly over the credits.

Tessitore: “What a night of action here in Norfolk. Cody Rhodes is back, the Women’s Title picture just got a whole lot more personal, and this roster is as unpredictable as ever.”

Kai: “PWA on Fox. We gave you a title change that wasn’t, a return that actually mattered, and enough violence to keep the Norfolk PD busy. You’re welcome. See you next week… if the faces survive that long
