The crowd erupts laughing.

Tony starts laughing.

Pete Jackson:

“Who was it?”

Pete looks around.

Pete Jackson:

“Tony?”

Tony immediately puts his hands up.

Tony Schiavone:

“It wasn’t me!”

Huge laughter.

Pete Jackson:

“I mean seriously.”

Pete points at himself.

Pete Jackson:

“I was born in Los Angeles. I live in St. Louis.”

“I’m not George freaking Strait.”

The crowd explodes.

Cole and Graves are laughing on commentary.

Corey Graves:

“He’s got a point."


Pete Jackson:

“I’ve spent forty years getting punched in the face.”

“Now all of a sudden I’m a cowboy?”

Tony can barely keep a straight face.

Tony:

“Fair enough.”


Pete finally gets serious.

Looks down at the Busch Cup.

Looks back at Tony.

Pete Jackson:

“Look…”

“Nic Cross is one hell of a wrestler.”

“Nigel McGuinness is one hell of a wrestler.”

“There are a lot of great wrestlers in this business.”

“But tonight…”

Looks at the trophy.

Pete Jackson:

“Tonight was a pretty damn good night.”


Crowd cheers.

Pete takes another deep breath.

Clearly exhausted.

Pete Jackson:

“Tony…

“I gotta be honest."

“I’m tired.”

Huge laugh

Pete Jackson:

“I’ll talk to you guys Tuesday.”

“I’m done for tonight.”


Crowd cheers

Pete starts walking away.

Stops.

Turns back toward camera

Pete Jackson:

“And thank you.”

“All of you.”

Points toward the crowd.

Pete Jackson:

“Love you.”

Massive ovation.

Pete starts walking away again.

Then mutters just loud enough for the microphone to catch it.

Pete Jackson:

“Last Cowboy..."

“What kind of dumbass nickname is that?”

The crowd absolutely loses it.

Tony Schiavone is laughing uncontrollably.

Michael Cole:

“I think we have our quote of the night.”

Corey Graves:

“George Strait just got buried at Battle at Busch.”

The camera follows Pete walking down the hallway carrying the Busch Cup as one of the biggest fan favorites in company history receives a hero’s ovation from the St. Louis crowd.

Roman steps closer.

Roman:

Huge reaction.
